A Leading Inbound Destination Management Company is recruiting Relief Travel Specialists. The candidates need to be senior and able to assist in all departments. This position is based in Sandton.Experience required:A minimum of 3 5 years of previous inbound tour consulting experience is requiredGood understanding of terms and conditions and excellent product knowledgeUnderstanding of travel industry channelsUnderstanding and knowledge of the different marketsRelevant understanding of Business to create and formulate a strategy and make commercial decisionsSales process and methodologiesProblem-solving skillsTeamwork!Tourplan, MS Office and WETUA good knowledge of South Africa, Southern and East AfricaA willingness and aptitude to always assist and learnAbility to work shifts on rotationDuties include:Overseeing relevant teammates desks; while the consultant is on leave - required to step in and handle the consultants desk in full, managing requotes and any ongoing proposalsAssisting with brochure quotesAssist and develop agent educational bookings / hosted educational bookings and work closely with Sales to ensure these trips are seamlessInvolved in the implementation of systems and procedures assist with testing of systemsStepping in to chase provisional bookings for all the relevant teamDuring the quiet periods, follow up on any dead leadsAssist in loading of bookings for consultants during peak booking periodCreative planning and designing of itinerariesConsistent and clear communication with agents, sales teams, preferred supplier partners and colleaguesEmergency duty will be on a rotational basisCalm and professional manner of servicing agents and guests
