Job Summary A market leading, international and diversified healthcare provider that offers quality service and a spirit of giving to those entrusted to their care, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Regional Financial Controller to spearhead financial operations in their Inland North Region reporting to the Financial Manager. As a leading healthcare provider dedicated to excellence, innovation, and patient care, we're looking for an exceptional individual to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reporting of management information required by the business, including budget, variance and trend analyses, reporting and presentations, including overall coordination and consolidation of reporting for the region as well as reasonability, variance and trend reviews. Duties:

  • Implementation of financial principles across all commercial and client requirements
  • Collation & provision of monthly financial reporting in a timely manner
  • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliation files, manage general ledger close off adjustments and manage people and processes to adhere to reporting deadlines
  • Engagement in service contracts, leases, and various legal agreements within the region to guarantee financial robustness, reasonability, and compliance
  • Leadership in recruiting, training, and developing essential finance and administration personnel in the region
  • Addressing challenges at challenging hospitals that demand substantial management support and intervention
  • Assuming local directorships when necessary, participating in all directors' meetings, orchestrating AGMs, managing statutory obligations, and fostering relationships with shareholders. Manage data integrity and compliance
  • Proactive & monthly management of debtor management
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards in support of customer service and experience
Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:
  • Matric
  • BCom Accounting
  • BCom Accounting Honours
  • CA(SA)
Experience:
  • Completed Articles within a BIG 4 audit firm
  • 5/8 years experience in financial management, people management and financial reporting
  • Ad-hoc travel
  • Commercial and operational experience in the healthcare sector would be an advantage
  • Experience in financial management and financial reporting
  • Understanding of the basic principles of IFRS
  • Understanding of basic key commercial legislation (e.g., Companies Act, Income Tax Act)
