Role Summary

Netcare Education Kwa Zulu Natal region currently has a vacancy for a Post Basic Hospital Based Academic Staff for emergency nursing. The incumbent will be required to educate and facilitate clinical learning and teaching to students registered on the Emergency Nursing programmes in the various accredited hospitals.

Inherent Requirements

Education

Current proof of registration with S.A.N.C.

Basic Degree/ Diploma in Nursing with midwifery, community health and psychiatry

Degree/ Diploma in Education.

Advanced Diploma in Trauma and Emergency nursing

Master's Degree completed/ in progress

Registered with SANC as an assessor and moderator

Work experience

Extensive experience in comprehensive nursing and academic practice including but not limited to facilitation skills in a theoretical and/ or clinical academic environment in Emergency Nursing.

Experience in facilitation on various modes of delivery; contact, digital platforms, and blended learning.

Research literacy.

Knowledge

Own Transport / Driver's License.

Computer Proficiency: MS Word, Excel and Power Point.

Portfolio of evidence of multiple teaching and facilitation methods and visual aids used / examples of technology in the classroom or in the clinical field utilised as teaching and facilitation methods.
