Oversee national recruitment efforts with a specific focus on engineering and technical positions.
Proactively forecast manpower requirements in collaboration with operational and technical managers.
Drive end-to-end recruitment: job spec creation, advertising, CV sourcing and screening, interviews, reference checks, and offer management.
Ensure recruitment aligns with Employment Equity (EE) targets and transformation objectives.
Design and implement training and development strategies to meet statutory Skills Development (SDL) requirements and operational needs.
Conduct technical skills audits and identify training interventions to upskill teams across the group.
Manage learnerships, apprenticeships, bursaries, and other social development initiatives.
Build a network of engineering talent pipelines and stay current with industry trends.
Maintain a positive company image in the recruitment market and act as brand ambassador.
Travel to various company sites as required.
Requirements:
Degree or National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or equivalent) OR a relevant HR qualification with a strong technical/engineering background.
Minimum of 5 years experience in recruitment (with a focus on technical roles in engineering, construction, or utilities).
Strong understanding of relevant labour legislation: LRA, EEA, SDA.
Proven experience in identifying, assessing, and onboarding technical personnel.
Highly organised, methodical, and capable of managing multiple recruitment projects across regions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to operational sites.
