Quantity Surveyor xe2x80x93 Wellington xe2x80x93 Market Related Salary
Planning: Use tender programme, worksheets and BOQ to draw up contractual programme using MS Projects. Update program monthly (or when required) and assist Site Agent with progress reports Update programme to incorporate extension of time claims.
EJM Responsibilities: Arrange final allowables and clusters for Site Agent and Contracts Managers if tender is successful. Create and update MOS work sheets. Create and update daywork sheets with assistance of Site Agent. Create extra works worksheets. Change resource codes as required.
Reporting: Draw up weekly costing reports to be completed by Site Agent. Draw up Divisional cashflow and update monthly. Assist Site Agent with monthly progress reports for site meeting.
Measurement: Draw up survey sheets prior to activities and discuss with surveyor. Perform regular measurement checks on site to establish accuracy of survey information. Summarise survey sheets and earthworks weekly for monthly claims onto summary sheets Prepare monthly certificate with the help of Site Agent and obtain approval from engineer. Arrange for M.O.S. affidavits. Submit certificate to Engineer timeously. Follow up on certification of payment certificate by engineer. Arrange for tax invoice once payment certificate has been certified.
Cost Management: Draw up cash flow, finalise with Site Agent for approval by Contracts Manager. Draw up " Daily Costing" for each activity. Evaluate Worksheet Clusters and report discrepancies. Assist with compiling of preliminary and final costing reports.
Contractual Management: Evaluate contract document in terms of pay items and project specifications. Quantify new rates using existing worksheets as basis and EJM. Compile financial claims in consultation with Site Agent and Contracts Manager.
Public Relations: Ensure Healthy relationships with Engineers and Client.
Tender Admin: Attending tender inspection. Requesting quotes for tenders. Follow up and receiving quotes on time from suppliers. Comparing quotes on Excel sheet. Preparing letters to engineers and suppliers when necessary. Compiling bulk orders if tender is successful. Compiling new rates letters with help of estimator. Requesting and follow up on way leaves.
