Job Description
Job Summary:
A Quantity Surveyor (QS) plays a critical role in the construction industry by managing the financial aspects of building projects. The QS is responsible for ensuring that construction costs and contracts are managed effectively from project inception to completion, ensuring value for money while maintaining quality and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare
cost estimates
, budgets, and feasibility studies for new construction projects. Manageproject finances
including cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring. Conductcost analysis
for repair and maintenance work. Assist incontract negotiation
and procurement, including preparation of tender documentation and evaluation of bids. Monitor and track project progress, identifyingvariations
, and assessing their impact on cost. Liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and efficient communication. Manageinterim valuations
, progress claims, and final accounts. Provideadvice on contractual claims
and dispute resolution. Ensure all project costs are properly documented and aligned withlegal and regulatory requirements
.Requirements:
Diploma/Bachelor's degree in
Quantity Surveying
,Construction Management
, or a related field. Experience in BHM equipment design, manufacture and installation and its associated infrastructure and equipmentWork Environment:
Office-based with regular
site visits
to monitor progress and verify claims. May requireoccasional travel
