Deployment Quantity Surveyor/ Coordinator



As our business continues to expand Embelo/Beacon Comms are looking to recruit a Deployment Quantity Surveyor Coordinator. Working with the Beacon UK Deployment and Accounts Teams on the delivery of small works Mobile Telecoms upgrades, individual value typically ranging from 20K to 150K GBP. Our customers include a number of major UK mobile operators.

Work within the Embelo/Beacon Deployment Team, supporting the commercial management of the lifecycle delivery of a Telecoms upgrade.

Working within the agreed customer schedule of rates and involvement with agreement of project rates with the customer. Review, and price against Beacon Design Drawing. Preparing a detailed tender with all relevant supporting information. Working with the customer to gain approval and provision of correct purchase order cover to allow the build to commence with mandatory commercial cover in place. Monitoring individual builds and reporting on individual commercial performance and highlighting any issues or negative trends/ issues with specific suppliers. Documenting and gaining commercial approval for any additional works during live build program. Upon upgrade completion, preparation of Final Account including the inclusion of 3rd party costs Working with the Beacon Delivery Team and the customer supporting on any information/ queries to achieve satisfactory Final Account approval and final site hand back. Achieve acceptable commercial margin delivery on each individual upgrade build.
As a Quantity Surveyor/ Coordinator within Embelo/Beacon Comms, you will be expected to support the Delivery Team with the successful management of the commercial delivery of an upgrade, working closely with all Beacon functions.

The Tender and Final Account to be uploaded to the customer tools within a specific contracted timescale, or SLA.

To be a successful Quantity Surveyor/ Coordinator at Embelo/Beacon, you must be a team player with strong communication skills, both English written and verbal, have a commercial focus in everything you do, be precise with an exacting eye for detail and be able to work at your best under pressure. The role will be office-based.

You would be joining a busy mobile telecoms contracting company, with offices throughout the UK, and in South Africa, currently employing over 200 people.

We are looking for an individual that can display these core skillsets to fulfil this role.

Key Role Responsibilities-



Work as part of the Beacon Delivery Team to Create, prepare, review, and finalise site commercial documentation for client submission/ approval. Update internal Beacon systems accurately and in real-time to support individual site commercial management. Communicate daily with the Beacon Deployment and Accounts teams and any other project sponsor/ stakeholder to collate accurate and up-to-date information. Manage, resolve and document customer rejections efficiently through to satisfactory approval. Maintain an understanding of multiple customers agreed Contracted Schedule of Rates including any updates and amendments. Ensure all submitted documentation meets quality standards and is submitted within agreed customer SLAs. To ensure multiple customers are regularly updated on project status and ensure all agreed client and internal KPI's are met or exceeded. Maintenance of Beacon Comms Commercial workflow system "Atlas". To perform other duties as required.

Required Experience and Skills-



Ability to prioritise and organise workloads to meet deadlines. Excellent problem solving and logistical skills. Able to communicate professionally and effectively in English (both written and verbal). Commercially aware and able to demonstrate understanding of actions and commercial impacts associated with them. Strong work ethic. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Experience with document control or administrative processes (preferred). Proven ability to work well under pressure and always remain calm. Ability to use and quickly adapt to both inhouse and customer work systems and databases. Interested, enthusiastic and keen to learn with strong positive attitude. Computer literate with strong Excel and data management skills. Some basic telecoms or small project construction/ commercial knowledge and experience is required.
