Location: Stellenbosch, Cape Town
Salary: R40 000 R50 000 per month (depending on experience)
Contract Duration: 8 Months (with potential to become permanent)
Our client, a well-established company in the construction industry, is looking for a skilled and driven Quantity Surveyor / Construction Project Manager to join their team in Stellenbosch, Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong project management and cost control skills to contribute to high-quality projects, with the potential to secure a permanent role after the contract period.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the full project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and tenders.
Monitor and control costs to ensure project profitability.
Conduct site visits and ensure compliance with building regulations, health & safety, and quality standards.
Manage relationships with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Handle contract administration and maintain accurate project documentation.
Deliver regular progress reports to management and clients.
Resolve project-related issues effectively and efficiently.
Requirements
Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor and/or Project Manager in the construction sector.
Solid knowledge of construction contracts, costing, and project management principles.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management and costing software (MS Project, Excel, etc.).
Valid drivers license and reliable transport.
