RedCat Recruitment is URGENTLY seeking a suitably qualified and experienced QUANTITY SURVEYOR AND FACILITIES SUPPORT MANAGER for a well-established concern, position based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Valid drivers license / own reliable vehicle.

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying is a requirement.

5-10 years appropriate experience in the building industry is essential.

Assist the Technical Executive with ensuring that the companys facilities are kept in good order and maintenance is attended to at the sites on time and in accordance with a plan, and whilst ensuring

best utilisation of the company resources in doing so. Assisting to ensure that the company returns the

highest collection rates in terms of utilities for its operations.

Assist with managing the financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.

Accurately estimate and control costs while ensuring the project adheres to quality standards and stays within budget. Previous experience will be vital in supporting the successful delivery of construction projects, collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Cost estimation, budget management, contract administration and value engineering.

Cost control, risk management, progress reporting, quantity measurement and change measurement, cost benchmarking, auditing and collaboration, facility maintenance and asset management, building safety, compliance and emergency preparedness, energy efficiency and sustainable initiatives, professional services, utility management, procurement, staff management, maintenance of existing buildings, managing external

service providers, assisting on new construction sites.

Other adhoc duties.
