Job Description


Our client in Durban is looking for a Manager: Fleet and Facilities. This role entails The Fleet and Facilities Manager is responsible for the management of fleet and facilities services and processes that support the core business of an organisation.

Job Responsibilities:
Facilities

  • Develop a facilities Management strategy in line with business requirements
  • Property Management and Inspections
  • Facilities planning and maintenance
  • Oversee facilities service contracts including maintenance and cleaning.
  • Ensure compliance with the applicable BCEA, LRA, OHS, Acts
  • Oversee building projects, renovations and/or refurbishments
  • Space management across all facilities
  • Supervise multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, maintenance, and security
  • Manage office and maintenance budget
  • Build relationships with facilities suppliers and coordinate on-site contractors
  • Compiling and preparing reports, presentations, and other correspondence
  • Liaising with employees, suppliers, and clients
  • Other admin tasks from time-to-time
  • Facilities opex and capex budget management
Fleet
  • Manages the acquisition, operation, maintenance, and logistics of company vehicles:
  • Ensure efficient vehicle utilisation and maintenance.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure that they are maintained in a safe and roadworthy condition
  • Facilitate license renewals
  • Inspect and arrange for vehicle services and repairs on regular basis
  • Ongoing management & administration of the company fleet (Leased & Owned) to ensure that leased vehicles do not incur run-on costs and company vehicles are managed and maintained
  • Manage company assets and usage through full utilisation of GEOTAB to ensure all vehicles have live tracking & to track and report on speeding (vehicle abuse) & obtain vital information in an accident
  • Ensure all company vehicles are branded as per prevailing policy
  • Administration and management of EAM (Collision Management System) to ensure all vehicles are registered, incidents are reported, vehicles repaired, and invoices processed for payment
  • Managing vehicle license and registration
  • Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices
  • Ensure allocation of traffic fines to relevant drivers
  • Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress
  • Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
Job Requirements
  • National Diploma/ B-Tech in the areas of Facilities, Fleet and or Project Management
  • OR Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering or Supply Chain
  • 5 years relevant experience in facilities, fleet and/or project management including contract management of 3rd parties
