We are looking for an enthusiastic Quality Inspector who has experience in ensuring products & services meet manufacturing & quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

More likely than not, when you see a fence or concrete structure in Cape Town; our products are involved.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducting Product Tests:
Carefully test products to detect any defects or deviations from specifications. This involves:
Performing visual and measurement tests on products.
Using testing/measuring equipment (e.g., micrometer, vernier, tape measure, scale, etc).
Accurate documentation is crucial for tracking product quality and accountability. Key tasks include:
Maintaining records of inspections and product audit findings.
Root cause findings (e.g. 5 Why or Fishbone) & recording nonconformities in an 8D report / nonconformance document.
Preparing detailed and accurate quality reports (including product quality issues, quarantined products).
Communicating findings to production team & quality management.
Compliance and Standards Evaluation:
Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards is a primary responsibility:
Understanding regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO 9001:2015) - advantageous.
Suggestions on corrective actions to meet compliance standards.
Collaborating with production staff to ensure standards are followed (e.g. SOPs, Work Instructions, Standard QMS Forms, Maintenance Sheets).
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Thorough understanding of the principles and practice of Quality Control.
Experience in ISO certified organization - advantageous.
Proven experience in using measuring equipment (essential).
A self-starter, capable of working without direct supervision and maintaining high performance.
Proven background of in-process quality inspection, with the ability to detect faults and draw possible causes.
Team collaboration skills to ensure effectiveness of quality objectives.
Ability to read and write data, identify issues and provide improvement recommendations,
Attention to detail.
Written and oral communication skills include an ability to communicate with all levels in the organization.
Goal driven.
Proficiency of Microsoft Office including Excel, & Word - advantageous.
Professional approach to working with colleagues at all levels.
Ability to influence change in production level.
REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Matric / Equivalent (essential)
Post-Matric Technical Diploma - advantageous
Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (essential - preferably metal industry)
