Could you be the Industrial Quality Inspector - PPC Nigel Plant (Limited Duration Contract) in Nigel, Johannesburg we're looking for?



Your future role





Take on a new challenge and apply your quality assurance expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.



You'll play a key role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met, supporting our Zero Defect Program and delivering excellence to our customers. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams (such as manufacturing, engineering, and project teams), coach team members on problem-solving methodologies, and manage quality control plans, and much more.



You'll specifically take care of implementing, updating and maintaining Quality Control Plans and managing site-level Industrial Quality activities, but also support manufacturing teams and drive process improvements.



We'll look to you for:


Managing Industrial Quality activities at site level, including the IQ team, processes, and KPIs. Developing and maintaining site PFMEA's and control plans. Building, implementing, and regularly updating Quality Control Plans with Return of Experience (REX) from previous projects. Ensuring customer approval, document validation, and compliance of manufactured products before shipping. Driving process improvements through problem-solving and lean principles. Leading and coaching cross-functional team members on quality methodologies and tools. Managing non-conformities (internal and external) and supporting manufacturing teams with self-inspection and quality animation. Preparing and presenting weekly and monthly Industrial Quality KPI reports. Supporting special process maturity and leading APSYS development. Managing site documentation on the central index and driving work station audits.




All about you

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (mandatory). Technical drawing knowledge and understanding. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a quality function within the engineering sector. Experience with Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen application knowledge. Proficiency in problem-solving techniques on an industrial shop floor. Process knowledge related to quality and industrial standards. Proven track record of conducting audits. Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint). Fluent in English with strong communication skills. Own transportation with a valid driver's license. Manufacturing environment experience (advantageous).
