The Quality Assurance Assistant ensures that all Vumacam projects, installations, and infrastructure adhere to established Quality Assurance (QA) standards and processes. The role involves coordinating QA activities, ensuring compliance with company standards, and maintaining alignment with business objectives. This position plays a vital role in delivering high-quality outcomes that enhance the effectiveness of Vumacam's solutions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS & TASKS)
Assist the Quality Assurance Coordinator in implementing QA standards and processes for all infrastructure builds and installations.
Train internal and external teams on quality specifications and sign-off procedures.
Monitor and manage all installations to ensure compliance with planning and business strategy.
Conduct infrastructure build signoffs and compile snag lists for outstanding issues.
Maintain an up-to-date site instruction matrix/register and ensure adherence to Health & Safety protocols.
Coordinate with stakeholders on quality assurance matters, providing timely updates and addressing concerns.
Report and track all quality-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and transparency.
Ensure Pre-Contractor Acceptance Criteria (CAC) and Final CACs meet company standards, completing within 5 working days.
Effectively manage Wayleave closeouts, ensuring timely processing and closure.
Competencies and Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications and experience:
Minimum of 2 years' technical field experience in CCTV or Fibre installations/ maintenance
Experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or a similar role within the technology, construction, or safety industries.
Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations and compliance requirements

Civils knowledge is required, with an understanding of infrastructure builds and construction processes.
Experience with or a solid understanding of CCTV networks and cameras.
Knowledge of electrical workings, including AC and DC power connections.
Attention to detail with a strong ability to identify and address quality issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proactive in addressing challenges and implementing effective solutions.
