The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, engineering, execution and commissioning of a structural, mechanical, plate work and piping equipment (SMPP) project both at fabrication and erection stages of the project.
The Project Manager has overall responsibility from project inception to closing.
The Project Manager manages the project to ensure on-time delivery, to complete the job within budget and to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
Project management of company fabrication and site installation project (includes supplier management) including monitoring of project with an emphasis on scope, delivery, cost, schedule and efficiency tracking.
Coordinate project activities between fabrication personnel, construction personnel, material and service suppliers, which includes development of project schedules and progress reports.
Significant client contact includes:
Attending kick-off meetings, progress meetings, site meetings;
Progress reporting (preparing and submitting reports);
Updating contract programmes;
Managing commercial terms of project which includes:
manage submission of timeous delay notifications to client;
adhering to contractual provisions.
Ensure compliance with company installation and quality standards.
Review and interpret fabrication and construction schedules and documents (e.g. specifications, testing procedures, etc.).
Budget estimation and forecasting.
