Job Description


How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Join Air Liquide as a Project Leader for a 6 months contract responsible for managing customer installation projects and ad hoc projects as assigned by the Projects department manager.

The project leader will be responsible for timeous and accurate estimating of customer requirements whilst ensuring a good technical solution. Adhere to the Industrial Management System and QA Procedures as laid out in the Air Liquide Management System and policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete estimate/ costing within a 10% level of accuracy and timeously as per KPI on lead time
  • Assist Sales and Marketing with Site visits, technical solution and scope definition.
  • Design, plan, execute and close out all projects assigned to him/her (Safely, within budget, on schedule, minimum risk, best technical solution and delivery, etc..)
  • Assist with P&IDxe2x80x99s and HAZOP studies for the purpose of customer installationxe2x80x99s design
  • Standardization and proactive Planning and coordinating all aspects of the project from Project initiation until Project closing.
  • Ensure completion of all Pipeline drawings and P&IDs for all installation, use CAD software to update and change existing drawings.
  • Ensure that contractors are selected in accordance with Air Liquide requirements and comply with the safety, quality and Industrial Management System requirements, when performing actual work on behalf of the company.
  • Perform inspections on a regular basis to ensure that contractors adhere to requirements and specifications, etc.
  • Legal compliance and adherence to company regulations and standards during all the stages of estimating and Project phases, control the costs of jobs to be within the estimated value and complete projects within the estimated time.
  • Design new systems and assist the marketing/ sales department with trials and investigation into new developments in order to expand the companyxe2x80x99s market
  • Assist with Draft Contract documentation, Scope of supply and Tender documents, technical advice and support to subordinates, customers and interested parties, perform risk assessments to identify and manage the risks related to projects
  • Compile and submit Safety Files for Customer site access and safety requirements.


Are you a MATCH?

Educational requirements
  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical)
  • Valid driverxe2x80x99s license.
Experience
  • 3-5 Years Experience in a Project Management or Technical Environment
  • Candidate ECSA registered Engineer is an advantage
  • AutoCAD experience.
