Job Description


Job Summary Duties General Effectively and efficiently fulfil the requirements for the maintenance and repair of the Bulk Connections fleet to ensure that uptime is maximized and costs are managed. Ensure that all data is timeously captured accurately and that systems are up-to-date. Prioritize work and manage time to ensure a steady output to meet internal and external deadlines. Control the documentation flow to ensure a smooth flow of documents between suppliers, maintenance operations, and support services. troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may exist with any of the stakeholders. Assist with the preparation and analysis of various reports that accurately measure the performance of the maintenance function based on the set KPIs Assist with the preparation of internal and external audits that are being carried out Business Performance Support capital, business development, and project delivery functions in major projects, including input business case development and project execution milestones. Contribute to developing the Workshops long-term strategic capex investment plan. Ensure all projects incorporate maintainability (considered ease of maintenance). Ensure industry project management principles are applied to all projects (PMBOK), and regular feedback is given to management on the progress of all projects. Contribute to the Terminals optimization program by focusing on innovative solutions for continuous improvement. Manage all projects within the agreed quality, cost, and schedule (time). Be the focal point to ensure that the Management of Change (MOC) process is followed in infrastructure projects. Ensure that all project management standards are in place and adhered to. Undertake, review, and approve technical bids (tenders) Leadership and Talent Management Submit monthly management reports as per business requirements. Ensure the department has the suitable structures and resources to deliver the necessary engineering efficiencies. Effective and efficient management of all human resources under control to manage costs better and improve asset management/equipment reliability. Develop standards and SOPs for the departments. Mentor, coach, and develop employees by building individual and team competencies to meet departmental and individual goals and objectives. Create and maintain positive workplace relationships and communication. Ensure a skills development plan is developed and implemented for the department. Ensure the employment equity plan within the department is met. Ensure that all industrial & employment relations issues are appropriately and timeously handled. Ensure compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act. Translate and cascade business objectives and targets in alignment with employee performance contracts. Ensure that team charter and individual performance contracts are in place and quarterly performance reviews are done. Minimum Requirements Matric NQF6 qualification or equivalent in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or similar Minimum of 3 years experience in project management Professional project management registration (PMP) will be advantageous. Project management training will be required. Working knowledge of contract forms (GCC, FIDIC, NEC, JBCC, etc.) Working knowledge of the OSH Act 85 of 1993, especially the Construction Regulations, CMMS, ERPs, Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Visio. Proficient in AutoCAD or similar drafting packages. Code 08 driver's license
