Requirements



A relevant three (3) year tertiary qualification in criminology, data

science, social science, public policy or other relevant field



Two (2) years' experience in a data analysis, research or related

environment, preferably in a law enforcement or public safety



context



Ability to communicate complex information clearly to a wide

range of audience, both verbally and in writing, in English.



Proficiency in one additional official language of the Western



Cape would be an advantage.



Advanced Computer Literacy Driver's License (Code B or EB) No criminal record

Key Performance Areas



Conducts rigorous research and data analysis to provide

actionable insights that inform strategic planning and decision



making within the directorate.



Designs and conducts evaluations to assess the effectiveness of

public safety programmes and interventions.



Support evaluations to assess the effectiveness of public safety

programmes and interventions and use these findings to support



the development of evidence-based policies.



Fosters effective working relationships and facilitates the transfer

of knowledge and skills.



Performs administrative duties of a more advanced nature and

renders support to specific functional areas.



Managing training and skills development and the transfer of

skills and knowledge.
