Wirquin Manufacturing (PTY) Ltd, a International supplier of quality and innovative Sanitaryware products based in Kariega has a exciting position available in the Production department for a Production Supervisor.
The incumbent is expected to perform the following tasks, duties and responsibilities:
Organisational Policies and Procedures:

• Identify, select and apply Organisational Policies and Procedures

Operational Requirements

• Plan Production runs with KANBAN items on injection moulding in line with capacity, call off and minimum run quantities (schedule time and quantity).
• Plan and request insert changes to ensure correct mould versions are ready for production and mould availability for services.
• Assist SCM with production planning on mechanism and blister assembly lines in accordance with correct component, machine and manning availability.
• Sign off on jobs issued to production from SCM to ensure correct components and quantities are issued and received.
• Update and organise visual planning board in accordance with daily DPM meeting.
• Reporting on performances as per prescribed KPI.
• Ensure work force is optimally tasked with set goals and that they are aware of departmental expectations. (Supervise and control)
• Ensure that all required personnel are adequately trained, monitored and evaluated and possess the relevant skills to perform their job & take corrective actions when targets are not met.
• Identify and assist with implementation of cost reduction initiatives and productivity improvement plans.
• Maintain and apply the Company code of conduct.
• Planning & implementation of manning requirements at the Mechanism & Assembly lines

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Tertiary qualification in Manufacturing or Engineering.
• Working Experience in Engineering & Manufacturing fields will be advantageous.
• Project management experience
• Understand manufacturing principles, resetting of assembly lines & requirements to meet targets.
• KANBAN, training of personnel, implementation of new systems,
• Pastel knowledge will be advantageous.
• Good communication skills Proficient in English and Afrikaans.
• Good supervisory, leadership and inter-personal skills, implementing empowerment strategies and policy.
• Strong values and ethics. Honesty, integrity, passion, pride
• Willing to be available for overtime duties if and when required
