Summary
My client in the Free State is looking for a Production Manager with experience in the soybean processing industry.( meal and oil)
Description
- Gathering production data from all sections in the plant for monitoring quality and performance in the plant with the objective to increase efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Do fault finding on problems in the plant.
- Managing the parameters of Quality, Process, and productivity.
- Optimizing usages of steam, hexane, electricity, maintenance, and manpower
- Planning of production schedule
- Implementing and controlling the production schedule
- Send out and maintain daily reports.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures.
- Determine and implement improvements to the production process such as 20 key requirements.
- Draft and implement SOPs on production and safety related tasks.
- PLC Knowledge
- Grade 12
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 yearsxe2x80x99 proven experience.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work confidently in a group.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Computer literate
- Driving licence
