Durban - KwaZulu Natal Production Planning ManagerA company South of Durban is looking to fill the above vacancyRole DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Production Planning Manager located in the Durban Metropolitan Area(South) The Production Planning Manager who will report into the Chief Operating Officer, will be responsible inter alia for the following:
- Developing and overseeing production schedules
- Managing a team of production planners
- Planning internal and external production activities
- Managing relationships between internal production departments and external CMT vendors
- Co-ordinating quality control activities
- Formulating accurate production forecasts based on planned sales and production volumes
- Managing day-to-day operations in conjunction with the Head of Production
- Proven Production Planning and Production Management skills
- At least 6-8 years Experience with developing and overseeing Production Schedules, Planning and Production Management
- Strong Analytical Skills and general Planning skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented and deadline driven environment
- Bachelors degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering or related field
- Previous experience in the textile industry will be considered advantageous
