About Our Client

Production Director KZN

Collaborate with senior managers in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans. Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration. Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity. Ensure that staff members meet the production targets set by management while producing high-quality products for the customer. Work with departmental managers in the development of financial and budgetary plans. Analyse current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary.



Production Director KZN

Developing strategic goals for Anchor Plant to ensure operational efficiency and increased productivity.

Reporting on full Anchor Plant operations.

Represent full Anchor Plant operations, including production, quality and fermentation.

Inform production team of raw material, plant and equipment needs.

Ensure people and processes are available to supply product to required quality, budgeted cost and scheduled delivery times.

Develop and implement production plans and schedules that meet customer demand and minimize downtime.

Ensure sustainability and growth of existing operations.

Weekly quality and output reports
Variable cost reports
Monthly EXCO reports
Bi-annual Board Reports
Annual Budget Report
Exception reporting as and when required

Development of annual budget
Manage production budget, including identifying opportunities to reduce costs and increase efficiency
Ongoing management of people and processes to achieve Operations Budget as per Manufacturing Statement as well as EBIT target.

Actively initiate, nurture, and build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, employees, local community, legislators and other interested parties.
Do this through community meetings, board meetings, customer, and supplier visits.

The Successful Applicant

Production Director KZN* 7yrs Production Experience

• Minimum 3 years in a leadership role

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration,
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Operations Management or a related field.
• MBA is advantageous.

• Adherence to the site Quality Management Systems Requirements
• Ensure with QC that tests are conducted according to Sampling & Testing Plan
• Ensure continuous improvement of product quality, packaging aesthetics and production rates

• Assist with hiring, training and scheduling staff to ensure production goals are met
• Ensure all positions are filled by competent and motivated people
• Ensure individuals are managed and motivated effectively and that the team operates cohesively to reach their full potential and reach organisational goals
• Effectively performance manage all direct reports (Coaching, Disciplining, Terminating)

• Ensure safety, environmental and recruitment policies are adhered to
• Ensure stocktake is done correctly
• Conduct internal audits as per audit schedule
• Participate in ISO surveillance and FSSC audit
• BEE compliance
• HACCP TEAM- actively involved in all internal and external quality
• Adhere to all internal financial control requirements.
