My client, a South African leading cold meat Manufacturing company and has been operating for over 35 decades, is looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join their fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager the deliverables of the role include sourcing of raw materials, products and services, prepare purchase orders and send orders to suppliers, monitor suppliers against agreed contractual price lists, monitoring expediting management reports and dashboards, ensuring product category expenditure meets agreed budget as well as managing relationships and partnership externally with suppliers and services providers.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management/Procurement or Purchasing
- 5 years relevant commercial experience in the Food Manufacturing industry
- Must be proficient in SAP
- Data analysis and reporting is non-negotiable
- In-depth understanding of purchasing processes
- Must have excellent negotiation, supplier service and consulting skills
