An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Procurement Specialist within a Chemical company based in KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsibilities

• Influence key internal & external stakeholder relationships to drive delivery of company and procurement objectives
• Strategic & Tactical Procurement of a portfolio of materials, goods or services within a category
• Deliver KPIxe2x80x99s relating to TCO, quality, service, innovation, and continuity of supply for the portfolio
• Work with suppliers and influence internal stakeholders to implement the innovation strategy, and to evolve the strategy as technology, markets, and business needs change
• Continuously gather, analyse, interpret, and act upon market intelligence
• Communicate to internal stakeholders as appropriate
• Feedstock and market assumptions translated into impact on business
• Minimise risk to continuity of supply by carrying out supplier risk assessments for the portfolioxe2x80x99s suppliers and implementing corrective actions as required
• Ensure supply agreements where applicable are negotiated, implemented, and managed

Requirements

• 3 Years experience
• BCom supply chain or similar
• Previous Employment Environment in chemical or manufacturing
• Relationship management
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Strategic thinking
• Ability to change
• Understanding risk management
• Ability to implement risk mitigation
