Our client, a market leader, specialises in the extraction, processing, and commercialization of various metals and minerals, primarily in Africa.

They are also renowned for their expertise in tailings reprocessing, which involves the recovery of valuable metals from historical mining waste materials, or tailings left behind by previous mining operations. By applying innovative and environmentally responsible techniques, they aim to unlock the latent value in tailings and to turn them into profitable resources.

The successful incumbent will report to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for the following:

  • Prepare, Consolidate, and analyse Procurement and Stores data and prepare month-end reports
  • Source goods and services
  • Evaluate tenders, commercial negotiations, and recommendations of suppliers
  • Analyse spends and formulate procurement strategy
  • Ensure Statutory and Audit Compliance
  • Prepare annual stores budgets for the operation
  • Manage stock and rotable controls
  • Supervise procurement and stores
Job Experience & Skills Required:
  • Minimum: BCom Degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience within the Mining or a heavy Industry Environment
  • Sage experience non-negotiable
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel skills
