Job Description
POSITION: 3-Year Contract (with possibility of extension)
COMMENCEMENT: ASAP
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Negotiate and manage group-purchasing contracts.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Management or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a corporate procurement environment.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, Internet, etc).
- E-procurement knowledge.
- Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) fluent in English.
Structuring of business transactions and advising on procurement strategy.
Thorough understanding of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework. * Sourcing and negotiations skills.
- Supplier evaluation experience.
Manage new and existing contracts to ensure costs, service and quality requirements are met.
Manage all procurement services relevant to allocated contracts.
Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers and contracts.
Responsible for effective and efficient supply management.
Build strategic, professional and ethical relationships with clients and suppliers.
Compile tender documents and detailed evaluation reports. * Manage procurement activities throughout the purchasing and supply chain and ensure that purchasing activities are provided in a fair, equitable, transparent, cost effective, efficient and effective manner.
- Ensure that a cost effective e-tender and catalogue system is running.
- Assist Contract Manager and Relief Contract Manager duties.
- Focus on the return on investment for each activity.
- Manage challenging customer base

- Strong organisational and time management skills
