My client holds a significant position within the realm of healthcare supply chain management in Africa. Their focus lies in leveraging their extensive network and comprehensive experience spanning multiple facets of the medical supply chain. This enables them to instill a sense of trust and confidence in their clients operating within the healthcare sector.
The successful incumbent will report to the Supply Chain Manager and assume responsibility in sourcing suppliers and ensure they are B-BBEE complaint, undertake all relevant government and B-BBEE Checks on suppliers, develop and maintain the procurement strategy for the Business unit in alignment with the broader procurement strategy policies, develop and maintain the procurement strategy for the Business unit in alignment with the broader procurement strategy policies, develop and implement formal procurement policies and practices that will guide behaviour and expectations for the procurement team.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Degree in Industrial Engineering / Supply Chain Management.
- 7 years experience in procurement, supply chain management, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in using procurement software, supply chain management tools, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems commonly used in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Must have the ability to analyse data, forecast demand, and identify trends within the pharmaceutical industry to make informed procurement decisions.
