Job Description
My client, based in Cape Town, operating in the finance and insurance sector is seeking a Procurement Lead.
A 6 months contract opportunity.
A suitable candidate should preferably come from a finance background with Procurement experience to lead a R20bn spend and a team of 65 based in Cape Town.
The ideal person should be:- * From a Finance or insurance background with Procurement experience
- More on the senior level side
- Able to work onsite at the clients offices in Cape Town
- Willing to travelrelocate to Cape Town if not based there
Formal qualification required
- B Comm ( Supply Chain Management/Logistics) or a relevant B Degree equivalent with relevant Honours degree or equivalent qualification would be an advantag
- Minimum 8 years experience in industry in financial/procurement environment in motor, FMCG or retail related areas with strong exposure to strategic as well as tactical dimensions - including leadership of large teams
- Understanding of contract law
- In depth Insurance (Claims) experience and understanding

xc2xa7 Knowledge and understanding of BBBEE and other relevant legislation
xc2xa7 Experience in Sustainability / Risk management
xc2xa7 A good understanding and influence on regulation in the transformation space and must be able to guide the business accordingly
Extent (years) and nature of experience required
