Job Summary

AIM Print, a leading printing and packaging company, is seeking a detail-oriented

Estimator

to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for a wide range of printing and packaging products. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with the sales, production, and procurement teams to ensure estimates are competitive, profitable, and aligned with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Quoting

Prepare accurate cost estimates for printing and packaging jobs based on specifications provided. Ensure quotes are completed within required timelines and reflect current material, labour, and production costs. Review customer requirements to provide the most cost-effective solutions. Work with the sales team to support customers with professional and detailed quotations.

Production & Procurement Coordination

Liaise with production to confirm machine capacities, lead times, and resource availability. Work with suppliers to obtain accurate material costs and ensure pricing reflects current market conditions. Ensure all quotes and estimates comply with company standards and profitability guidelines.

Administration & Records

Maintain accurate records of all estimates and quotations. Assist in tracking conversion rates of quotes to orders and highlight trends. Update the ERP system with accurate job costing information.

Quality & Compliance (ISO9001:2015)

Follow all established ISO processes and procedures to ensure quality standards are met. Update and maintain traceability records for each order. Assist in ensuring compliance with audits, quality checks, and record-keeping requirements.

Required Abilities

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple estimates under tight deadlines. Professional and proactive attitude.

Required Skills and Experience

Previous experience as an Estimator in the printing and packaging industry (essential). Strong knowledge of printing and finishing processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with ERP/MIS estimating systems (advantageous). Own vehicle and valid driver's license.
