Well-known Luxury Wine Estate is looking for a PRINTING AND PACKAGING DESIGN TECHNICIAN.

:

The hired candidate will work with the Brand Creative team, translating graphic designs into precise print-ready files. Essential responsibilities include interacting with printing companies, ensuring timely deliveries in correct formats, and updating variable data in pre-designed templates. Understanding the printing industry is crucial.

Candidate Requirements:

• Must have a tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design
• Must have at least 4xe2x80x935 yearsxe2x80x99 experience
• Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Must be experienced in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; experience with AutoCAD is a plus
• Must be able to meet deadlines within a strict timeframe
• Must be consistent, be able to demonstrate great problem-solving abilities
• The ability to see projects through from layout set up to finished art
• Must have an understanding of different printing techniques, finishes and paper

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Must have a solid understanding of the print production process and terminology
• Liaise with printers and production managers to accurately handover artwork files
• Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines, colours, fonts and visual elements throughout all projects
• Quality Control in both pre-and post-press and ensure that standards are met
• Ensure deadlines are met
• Stay up to date with software developments and industry tools
• Manage filing and archiving
• Following up on printing ETAs and communicating it to various departments
• Sourcing new printers for comparative quotes
• Managing invoices and liaising with various departments for sign-offs and payment
• Receiving printing from various suppliers and sending them to the correct departments
