Requirements
BEng or BSc (Eng) degree in Civil or Chemical Engineering
Preferred BEng or BSc (Eng) degree in Civil or Chemical
Engineering with a Master's Qualification in water treatment
8 years or more relevant post-graduate experience
Preferred 8 years or more relevant experience post registration
Professional Registration (PrEng) with the Engineering Council of
South Africa (or equivalent body recognised by the Washington
Accord)
Computer literate
A valid Code EB driver's licence
Must be Physically fit
Key Performance Areas
Oversee complex infrastructure and asset management projects,
focusing on the preparation of engineering designs,
specifications, and drawings.
Initiation and Implementation of Water Treatment Optimisation
Investigations
Providing Water Treatment Process support and applying whole
life cycle asset management for operations and maintenance.
Manages treatment investigations with internal and external units.
Manages the communication and relationships between various
stakeholders
Explore and implement new ways of delivering services that
contribute to the improvement of municipal processes.
Drawing up of correspondence of a more complex and involved
nature to facilitate the functioning of the Branch. Including
preparation of capital and operating estimates within a planned
project, and manages and controls expenditure against the
approved budget allocations.
