Want to be a part of our team? The lead business analysts supports the group process owner (GPO) by conducting the business analytics to empower data driven decision to support transformation journey in line with governance defined.

This role is focused on supporting the Source-2-Pay Business Process Value Stream, including Accounts Payable.

Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with global process standardization and automations.

Identifies gaps and provides technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scales new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost effective manner.

May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

The Business Analystxe2x80x99s key function is to work with internal and external clients to determine requirements and to define solutions to address complex business, process and systems problems, and improvements in the organization. They act as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of an organization, and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the GPO in evaluating the current business processes and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Supports the GPO in the development of business cases related to transformational or continuous.
  • Staying updated with the latest business practices and technologies to recommend to GPOs.
  • Recommendation of new process changes, policies, and procedures to the GPOs based on business needs and outcomes.
  • Support GPOs in analysis, selection of tools, software etc against the business requirements.
  • Act as a bridge between the business problems and the technology solutions.
  • Work with GPOs for driving xe2x80x98improved experiencexe2x80x99 of clients, vendors, employees
  • Monitoring project deliverables and escalating issues to the GPO and other defined structures
  • Support capacity management, allocation of deliverables and prioritization of more junior business analysts with support from GPOs.
  • Gathering requirements from GPOs and other stakeholders for process improvements
  • Communicate, translate, and simplify business requirements from multiple stakeholders including regions and our GBS business partners
  • Articulate potential ideas to the GPOs and balance them against whatxe2x80x99s technologically feasible and financially
  • Work with GPOs and GBS service providers to apply best practice methodologies to define solutions to address process issues, improvements or change.
  • Independently facilitate working sessions with global stakeholders to define business requirements and validate technical solutions against desired business outcomes.
  • Gathering, processing of process data, benchmarking to identify process improvements areas through meaningful insights and definition of metrics to measure success.
  • Monitor the GBS service provider performance against the KPIs, identify gaps
  • Communicate the performance of initiatives to GPOs using tailored dashboards.
  • Adoption of CPI methodology using six-sigma and lean tools to support the GPOs in identifying project ideas.
  • Support GPO in evaluating potential project ideas against potential business value and impact.
  • Communicate and escalate to GPOs if any issues arise or deliverables cannot be met and request assistance to ensure closure of issues.
  • Assist with the resolution of issues pertaining to the service.
  • Identification of operational gaps including user guides, SOPs, process maps and related user training
  • Support GPOs in identifying and resolving for the gaps in the control framework
  • Take ownership of quality of global process artefacts within assigned value stream working with Governance lead, GPO, partners and junior business analyst to identify and remediate quality issues with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Continually maintain quality of global process artefacts (process maps, SOP accuracy reviews) and alignment to released products and capabilities in line with Release Management frameworks.
  • Act as lead interface governance leads for business process management practice to continually identify new or suggestions of improvements to current standards to be implemented to continually improve quality of global process artefacts.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
  • Broad understanding of business practices and processes
  • Excellent team player who displays good client service orientation with well-developed administrative and organisation skills
  • Deep expertise in specific systems, processes and technologies that they will be required to analyse
  • Meticulous attention to detail whilst working under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to listen empathetically
  • Ability to build rapport and engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of project management methodology
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to convert business requirements into operational deliverables (functional requirements) to meet business objectives
  • Excellent documentation skills, in particular, functional requirements, test cases, system user documentation, processes and procedures and presentations
  • Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Word, Excel Project, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Understanding of systems generally used in a services organisation e.g. ServiceNow, Siebel, Remedy, SAP, EMS would be advantageous
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
  • Minimum - Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree or equivalent with related demonstrable experience
  • Beneficial - Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt
  • Beneficial - Project management certification would be advantageous
Required Experience:
  • Proven experience in transformation programs related to Source-2-Pay including Accounts Payable.
  • Deep understanding and experience of SAP (as related to Source-2-Pay Processes) and Accounts Payable industry platforms ideally Esker.
  • Utilize excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills to establish and maintain a good rapport with co-workers, supervisors, business stakeholders and providers
  • Competent in influencing senior stakeholders and colleagues leveraging domain knowledge, professional skills and relationships
  • Excellent proven track record in facilitating sessions with diverse global stakeholder groups to elicit business requirements and drive consensus between diverse teams at all levels.
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically
  • Results-focused and Continuous learner and highly motivated to develop and share knowledge
  • Resolves wide range of issues in creative ways
  • Deep knowledge of the process and experience in delivering continuous improvement
  • Detailed knowledge of process control software
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural environment (this will require managing time zones and travel)
