Press Operator

to operate and control the MDF ContiRoll press line in accordance with standard operating procedures. This role plays a critical part in ensuring optimal process control, output, and product quality. All while adhering to ISO standards and company policies on safety and environmental practices.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric) with Maths and Science or equivalent; a technical qualification will be advantageous. Diploma in Wood Technology 2 years related experience in a manufacturing , or Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a production environment, preferably in wood-based panel manufacturing (MDF / Particleboard / Chipboard) Knowledge of ContiRoll press operation will be a strong advantage. Good understanding of process control systems and production workflows. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

Operate and control the MDF ContiRoll press line in accordance with standard operating procedures. Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, moisture, density) to ensure compliance with quality standards. Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate process deviations to minimize downtime. Conduct routine checks and ensure safety standards are always adhered to. Collaborate with team leaders, maintenance, and quality departments to achieve production targets. Record production data, prepare reports, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate with the Steam generation plant, Refiner and Sander Operators in order to produce the quality Products. * Assist with the Production maintenance of the line
