Job Description
A dynamic organization based in the Northern Suburbs is looking to employ a Digital DTP Operator / Press Operator with 3 5 years experience in a similar role.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Valid Drivers License
- 3 5 years experience in a similar role
- MS Office & Desktop Publishing Software
- Responsible for preparing digital files for print production
- Overseeing the pre-press process to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output
- Convert and optimize artwork, graphics, and text for digital printing
- Adjust layouts and graphics as needed to ensure compatibility with digital print processes
- Use color profiles to ensure accurate color reproduction across digital printing devices
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the DTP process
- Proficiently use Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other desktop publishing tools
- Provide feedback and suggestions to clients on file quality and formatting for print
- Maintain and organize files, templates, and print-ready documents for easy retrieval
- Knowledge of layout and design principles, typography, and color theory
- Ability to troubleshoot file-related issues and find creative solutions to challenges that arise during the production process
