Job Description
A vacancy exists for a Senior Civil Engineer in our clients office in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership of the design office within the roads section.
Responsibilities
- Effective leadership and management of design, production of engineering drawings, preparation of tender documents.
- Management of delivery of projects from planning to close out.
- Monthly reporting and cost control.
- Training of technical staff.
- Pr Eng
- Minimum of 5 years' post-graduation experience in the consulting engineering environment in Transport Infrastructure, specifically in the fields of planning, pavement engineering, geometric design, stormwater drainage design, contract administration and supervision of roads contracts.
- Experience in road rehabilitation design.
- Proven track record in management of a design office.
- Must be able to work independently and be able to interact with relevant stakeholders at management level.
- Salary: R600K/yr - R900K/yr, negotiable
