A young, fresh, boutique PR agency in Cape Town's CBD is on the lookout for a Mid-weight PR Account Manager to work on a fab portfolio of consumer clients.

As PR Account Manager in this fully on-site role, you will oversee 1-2 staff members as part of a close-knit, creative team of 10. The agency crafts creative, local, and global campaigns (including digital) for xe2x80x98power brandsxe2x80x99 across tech/ICT and consumer apps, finance, luxury retail, popular festivals, global CSR & NGO brands, the health sector, and disruptor categories.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage impactful PR campaigns
• Drive Media Relations across key accounts
• Manage multiple stakeholders and clients
• Support with training and development of junior team members
• Account manage, lead on client comms, meetings and campaign timelines, weekly/monthly status reporting
• Maintain and grow relationships with journalists/influencers
• Support with new business pitches and proposals
• Oversee and manage events including workshops, activations, PR stunts and press days.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have/be:

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• 4+ years of PR experience in a PR agency xe2x80x93 essential
• Excellent media connections and contacts
• A great multitasker and can juggle several clients and projects
• Confident presenting skills, team meetings or new business pitches
• Excellent administrative and account management skills (reporting, capturing time, excel, budgets, client proposals)
• Creative thinker and ideas generator xe2x80x93 not just PR but across Shared, Paid, and Owned channels (PESO)
• A team player with a wicked sense of humour!
