Bulk & Conferencing Consultant: Travel (Cape Town, CBD)
This role encompasses effectively actioning the travel booking process on all levels, resulting in an efficient, effective and cost-conscious travel service delivery and ensuring the ongoing of all-encompassing viability of the company's division.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate / National Senior Certificate / Grade 12
- Diploma in Travel
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior role in the travel industry
Required knowledge:
- Intermediate - advanced Fares course
- Ticket reissue course
- Ticketing course
- Super user course
- Customer service course
- Sound geographical knowledge
- Sound visa knowledge
- SAM and AGM course
- Amadeus
Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Issuing, reissuing Tickets and Refunds
- Working knowledge on the Amadeus GDS
- Issue full domestic & international reservations including hotel, car, air, transfer, B&B, etc.
- Accurately complete all reissues
- Complete build & conferencing reservations
- Ability to complete all refunds accurately
- Ensure corporate fares are utilized
Quality Control (QC)
- Limited QC rejections
- Ability to accurately conclude multi-sector / round the world reservations.
Policies and procedures
- Align to all company policies and procedures found on the Dashboard
- Fully conversant with the paperless procedure
Standard operation procedures (SOP)
- Full understanding of the SOP manual
- Full alignment to the company SOP
Preferred partners and client profiles
- Fully conversant with preferred partners of both the company and the client
- Ability to form and maintain relationships with clients
- Update all travelers' profiles
Profit performance
- Ensure fees are correctly charged at the time of ticketing including invoicing and referral bookings
- No ticks to be on the un-invoiced ticket list
- All ECC charges invoiced out the following day
- All vouchers correctly issued and emailed to the client and supplier
- Cost conscious for both the company and the client
Client satisfaction
- Understand and adhere to clients' travel policies and procedures
- Ability to advise on solutions to problems
Inter-departmental business relationships
- Attend company meetings and functions / team building
- Build and maintain multi-level relationships within the company
- Networking and industrial related events
