Our trusted client is looking for an experienced Plant Manager with the competencies listed below:
- Grade 12 (With maths and science)
- Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering Degree
- 10 yearsxe2x80x99 post-qualification experience on metallurgical plants and projects with at least 5 years in a supervisory/management position
- PGM flotation and chrome recovery plant experience
- Operate the plant effectively as an effective business unit to an agreed business plan and process parameters
- Develop a 2xe2x80x935-year resource and mining strategy and coordinate ore and services to the plant
- Compile and control of production, quality, and cost budgets
- Create a high-performing team and a conducive employee relations climate - people management (HR and IR) in a unionized environment
- Ensures adherence with legislative requirements and the companyxe2x80x99s Health and Safety Standards
- Financial Management (operational and capital cost budgets)
- Responsible for research and development
- Maintain a good relationship with the clients at host-mine and liaise on all relevant plant issues
