Job Description


A great mining company in Rustenburg, North West is seeking the expertise of a Plant General Manager to join their team of professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the Smelter Business Unit
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term planning to enable the production
  • To ensure that the furnaces, pelletiser and chrome recovery plant are available and reliable to produce products in line with the corporate objectives of the company with regard to volume, quality and unit costs
  • Facilitate continuous improvement and operational excellence in order to improve availability, utilisation, safety performance, unit costs and to enable performance management and development of the smelter teams
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 10 xe2x80x93 12 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a smelter mining environment
  • Minimum 5 years as Plant Manger / 3.1a appointment
