RPO Recruitment's client is a great mining company in North West, which is seeking the expertise of a Plant General Manager to join their team in Rustenburg.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess level of baseline risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment
• Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives and minimum requirements)
• Direct and manage the work force and material resources to meet production targets within the approved budgets
• Plan for short and long-term production and maintenance strategies to stimulate process improvement and sustain production levels of ferrochrome in line with the companyxe2x80x99s corporate objectives
• Manage Continuous Improvement through Operational Excellence
• Ensure effective cost control systems are in place with reference to operating and capital expenditure as well as resource utilization in order to maintain costs within the approved budget

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 10 xe2x80x93 12 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a smelter mining environment
• Minimum 5 years as Plant Manger / 3.1a appointment
