Great opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to take up the planner position at Stefanutti Stocks Western Cape. Applicants must have the appropriate experience, across a range of projects, preferably with a medium to large construction company. This is ideal for an individual that is keen to grow with the company to achieve 3D,4D and 5D integration.

Duties and responsibilities :

• Analyse the tender documents & compile a resource based tender programme.
• Assist with the pricing of the Preliminaries based on the programme requirements.
• Compile a method statement when required to do so.
• Assist Contract Managers and site teams in compiling the detailed construction programmes and information required schedules.
• Assist site team in regularly monitoring & updating the contract programmes.
• Assist Contract Managers and site teams with compiling the cause and effect programme to justify the extension of time claims.

Minimum Requirements & Experience

• National Diploma in Construction Management or equivalent Civil Engineering qualification
• At least 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in the construction environment, perferably as a Planner
• Understanding and proven experience in interpreting the scope of work, drawings and Bill of Quantities to develop a realistic schedule per project.
• At least 2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience with CCS/ Primavera P6 software
• Hands on experience on the procedures required to construct the most common scope items on the project.

• Knowledge of the principles used to calculate and estimate the durations and interfaces of the activities required to produce the scope of work for the project.
• Knowledge of the measurement of xe2x80x9cEnd Valuexe2x80x9d and the development of quantifiable activities in a schedule.
• Experience of JBCC contract interpretations with regards to xe2x80x9cExtension of Time Claimsxe2x80x9d and the methodologies for analysing and demonstrating impacts in the schedule and how to demonstrate it in the approved software.
• Proficient in MS Office applications such as Excel, Access, Word etc.
