Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Underwriter in Short Term Insurance. The position is located in Bedfordview. The Underwriter will be responsible for assessing insurance applications, determining risk levels, and establishing appropriate premiums. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating client information, analyzing data, preparing underwriting reports, liaising with clients, quoting in new business with Insurers, endorsements, amendments and policy administration, renewals, retention and supporting the sales team to ensure seamless client service.

Qualifications

RE 5 and NQF 4 Short-term insurance mandatory FAIS Compliant / CPD up to date

Interpersonal Skills

Strong Analytical Skills and ability to assess risk effectively In-depth knowledge and experience in Short-Term insurance and Underwriting Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent organizational skills Understanding of Finance principles related to insurance Detail-oriented and ability to work independently Responsible, trustworthy neat and meticulous
