About the role





We are looking for a

People Specialist: Culture

to support the design, implementation, and management of robust programs aimed at understanding key workplace success factors, thereby improving employee engagement and cultivating a high-performance culture at Smollan.



This role is key to implementing global, standardised

employee sentiment practices

to enhance the overall

employee experience

. You will support the rollout of consistent engagement initiatives--like surveys and listening tools--across markets, ensuring a connection to employee feedback and areas for improvement. Beyond sentiment, you'll contribute to broader culture initiatives, including projects related to recognition, wellbeing, change management, and embedding the

Employee Value Proposition

(EVP).


What you'll do





As the People Specialist: Employee Engagement, your key responsibilities will include:


Employee Engagement & Listening Strategy




Building a people-centric, data-driven employee engagement framework and strategy with a clear and impactful narrative.

Developing a comprehensive employee survey strategy that aligns with organisational goals, defining the scope, objectives, timelines, and reporting for various surveys, including the

Engagement Survey

,

Pulse

,

Values 360 Survey

,

Onboarding Surveys

, and

Exit Survey

.


Data and Insights




Translating complex data into

actionable insights

and recommendations to provide a clear picture of employee engagement and sentiment, using AI & other tools.
Working closely with the People Team and leadership to develop and implement employee engagement strategies, action plans, and policies.

Continuously monitoring and adjusting strategies based on feedback and data analysis.
Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and maintaining the confidentiality and security of sensitive employee information.


Onboarding & Offboarding




Leveraging employee data insights to continuously enhance and improve employee onboarding and offboarding processes.

Managing, enhancing, and providing insights and reporting for

C-band and above on-boarding journey

and the

Off-boarding journey

. Deploying and managing new exit surveys and establishing an

Alumni programme

.

Advisory & Measuring Impact




Providing clear and effective counsel to management on people engagement topics across the employee lifecycle.


Utilising employee, macro, and competitor insights to enrich all employee engagement strategies, ensuring the business is keeping pace with future developments.
Measuring the impact of all engagement programmes across key business metrics, such as

retention rates, productivity, and profitability

, clearly demonstrating the

ROI of Employee Engagement efforts

. Preparing and managing associated budgets, clearly communicating budgeting requirements to business stakeholders.


What we're looking for




Minimum Qualifications:





Honors Degree in Human Resources relevant field


Minimum Experience:





6-8 years' Employee Experience, engagement and Culture with at least 3 years' experience in managerial roles. Relevant exposure to local and global environment.


Knowledge Skills & Abilities:





Ability to interpret data and create measurable action plans.



Sound Knowledge of EVP principles.



Sound knowledge of organisational transformation and change.



Brand building know-how.



Ability to conduct and interpret market and competitor analysis.



Project Management skills.



Practical implementation experience.
