We're looking for a skilled and motivated Penetration Tester to join our client.About the RoleIn this role, youll be responsible for delivering a range of offensive security assessments, identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities, and providing practical remediation guidance to help clients strengthen their overall security posture. Youll also have the opportunity to contribute to tooling, research, and presales initiatives.Key Responsibilities

• Perform penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits across networks, applications, and systems.
• Simulate real-world cyberattacks to evaluate the resilience of IT infrastructures.
• Document and communicate vulnerabilities clearly, with actionable remediation advice.
• Collaborate with clients technical teams, including developers and sysadmins, to improve security outcomes.
• Stay up to date with the latest tools, techniques, and threat intelligence.
• Contribute to internal tooling and methodology improvements.
• Optional: Contribute to blog posts or internal knowledge-sharing efforts.
• Support presales efforts such as scoping, quoting, and project planning.

What Were Looking For

• Based in South Africa with at least 3 years of hands-on penetration testing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or related fieldxe2x80x94or equivalent professional experience.
• Solid understanding of networks, operating systems, web application security, and common attack techniques.
• Experience beyond automated scannersxe2x80x94using methodology, creativity, and critical thinking to uncover deeper issues.
• Familiarity with frameworks and standards such as OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2, or DORA.
• Ability to customize and adapt tools/scripts based on context.
• Experience in cloud security testing (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a strong plus.
• Highly desirable: Certifications like OSCP, OSEP, eWPTx, eCPPT, CRTO, or similar.
• Strong communication skillsxe2x80x94comfortable explaining findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
