Job Title: Penetration Tester

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Penetration Tester to simulate cyber attacks on our computer systems, networks, and applications to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses. As a Penetration Tester, you'll play a critical role in helping us strengthen our defenses and protect our assets from potential threats.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct penetration tests on computer systems, networks, and applications to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses

- Use various tools and techniques to simulate cyber attacks and exploit vulnerabilities

- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations for remediation

- Collaborate with development teams to identify and fix vulnerabilities in software and systems

- Stay up-to-date with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and penetration testing techniques

- Develop and maintain penetration testing tools and methodologies

- Provide training and awareness programs to educate staff on security best practices

Requirements:

- 2+ years of experience in penetration testing or a related field

- Strong knowledge of operating systems, networks, and applications

- Experience with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Nmap

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong communication and reporting skills

- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or GPEN are a plus

Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Certified Penetration Testing Engineer (CPTE) Certified Information Systems Security Professional
(CISSP)

Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Nice to Have:

- Experience with cloud security and containerization

- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Ruby

- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or GDPR

Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: R300,00 - R450,00 per hour
