Job Summary A completed Matric plus a relevant Diploma / Degree in Payroll Management or HR Management essential, together with 8+ years' related experience in managing the full payroll function for salaries on SAGE 300 People. Supervise and back up the Wages person; 3rd party service providers / statutory parties; HR administration including managing and maintaining employee records, including hand copy and electronic archives; ensure all payroll platforms are updated timeously; administrative support to engagement and termination processes as well as archiving and filing of all employee-related documentation; GL maintenance; uploading the weekly and monthly salaries and wages journal into SAGE X3, clearing all GL clearing accounts; GL reconciliations for all payroll accounts as per SOX requirements; uploading the ACB file into Standard Bank for salary and wages payments; ad hoc payments as received from HR (loans, advances, training etc.), correct allocation of ad hoc payments to the GL; reconciliation of the cashbook to the bank statement and GL; maintenance and updating all employee banking details; administration of the fuel cards and e-tags; headcount reporting required by Finance and the HR Team; assisting with Employment Equity reporting; provide various reports from SAGE 300 People to various management as required; internal and external audit liaison for payroll and continuous education to employees on benefits/deductions. Excellent knowledge of the BCEA, Income Tax Act, LRSA, COIDS, EE Acts and Skills Development Act as well as excellent knowledge of medical schemes and pension funds.
