Introduction
Our client in the retail sector requires a Payroll Manager to join their team in Cape town
Description
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Implements maintains and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensures compliance with legislative, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
- 5 years of related experience required integrated payroll systems experience (payroll size larger than 3000)
- Minimum of 3 years SAGE People 300 experience
- Good understanding of employee tax
- Employee Benefit Fund administration
- Knowledge of BCEA and other employment legislation
- Payroll experience across other African countries will be beneficial
