Job Description
My client is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll for approximately 500 employees across 13 companies.
This role is based in Westlake, Western Cape - Southern Suburbs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly payroll processes for fixed, commission, and hourly-paid employees.
- Reconcile payroll data, prepare variance reports, and ensure accurate costings.
- Develop and maintain robust payroll controls, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and process statutory payments (PAYE, UIF, etc.).
- Liaise with SAGE consultants for system-related queries.
- Collaborate with the Financial Director on payments and reconciliations.
- Handle payroll queries and liaise with Medical Aid and Group Life service providers.
- Support audits by providing payroll information and resolving queries.
- Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with SAGE300
- Experience managing payroll for at least 500 employees
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas
