Job Description

Our client in the Manufacturing industry is currently looking for a Pattern Maker and Grader, in Paarl.

Responsibilities:

• Produce Patterns (including grading, preparing spec sheets for tech packs).
• Convert Patterns as required.
• Feed data into computer software programmes.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure final patterns match originals.
• Work closely with design and sample making teams (deliver samples on time).
• Make design changes using LECTRA pattern design software (PDS) when required.

• Senior certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• National diploma or part qualification in pattern making & grading or clothing production management.
• Must have experience in creating electronic pattern files on a pattern making software system e.g., GERBER.
• Previous experience of working on LECTRA Modaris Classic software module (or training will be provided).
• Previous experience of working on LECTRA Diamino Advanced software module (or training will be provided).
• 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as machinist/sample hand machinist in a clothing factory environment.
• 3 to 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as pattern maker/grader.
• Valid driverxe2x80x99s license with access to own transport.
• Strong computer skills and aptitude.
• Training/schooling in technical drawing (CAD) is advantageous.
• Joining components and garment construction sewing skills.
• Attention to detail with an eye for shape and proportion.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to procedures.
• Able to work in a changing and fast paced environment.

• R25 000 xe2x80x93 R30 000 per month.
