The Pastry Chef/Baker will be responsible for preparing, baking and presenting high-quality pastries, breads and desserts. This role requires attention to detail, creativity in menu contribution and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Location: Langebaan, Cape Town
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, breads, and desserts to company standards.
  • Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Manage ingredient inventory and maintain accurate stock control.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to develop new menu items.
  • Ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods for service.
  • Adhere to all company policies, HACCP, and hygiene regulations.
Requirements:
  • Formal Culinary or Patisserie qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker in a catering or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and dessert preparation.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Creative flair with attention to detail and presentation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
