Our client is a small fruit farmer, with harvesting set to commence end December 2023.
They need someone with basic packhouse experience coupled with HACCP & FSA knowledge. You will supervise a small team of 5 packing staff, and essentially run the packing part of the operation, train and manage a small team, maintain cleanliness and keep records for the various audits.
Responsibilities
- Management of the packing process
- Adherence to audit requirements (FSA, HACCP) including record keeping and liaising with consultants responsible for auditing process
- Managing and oversight of a team of packing staff, keeping attendance records, maintaining work and health and safety standards, quality control and tempo
- Managing and ordering packaging material
- Coordination with freight companies for dispatch of produce
- Knowledge of HACCP and FSA
- Leadership and time management skills
- Organised individual able to keep meticulous records
- Interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and an interest in quality
